Clare loves to feed the ducks! Oh my gosh, the ducks are trained to come on the deck about three times a day. They peck at the window for food. It's hilarious. Steve's dad has been feeding them for years. He even goes to the local bakery to get their stale bread for duck feedings. He gave us a huge sack for bread (I'd guess 15 loaves of bread) to get us through the feedings this month! When the ducks come, I say "quack quack quack" and Clare looks outside. (She's so smart). When the ducks are done and fly away I think Clare says "quack". (She's so smart).
The last week has been absolutely beautiful here. The sun has been out everyday since our arrival except for one day. Clare always has me up in time to see the sunrise over the lake. I was able to capture this picture one morning from the living room. This is the beautiful view we are blessed with every day. Although today was another story ...
It has snowed for two days straight. It's white everywhere you look. But the sun is out and there is no wind. I was on the lake this morning ice fishing with my brother-in-law who lives next door. The ice is about 6 inches thick. The neighbors on the other side of us were on the lake with a four wheeler and snow plow making a hockey rink for today and ice rink for tonight (with lights set up for the events). Hopefully I'll have some cool pictures to post ...
