Go Colts.
A few weeks ago we went to Indy with another couple (without kids). We had an awesome time. Aunt Jeanne and Grandma Carol watched our kids. Our friends planned the trip. We showed up and loved every minute of it. When we got in their car, they had us pick a lottery ticket. There were two winners for $120. Great start! We found our hotel, sweetly located next door to the Stadium. Then off to Fogo de Chao for dinner. I have never been there. It was awesome! When you turn your card to the green side, the servers come to you with many many many meat options. I was a huge fan of the lamb t-bone. The servers will stop delivering the meat to you when you turn your card to red. This goes on until your little heart desires. After dinner, we walked the city a bit to settle all that cow we consumed. Then we played cards in our hotel room. We learned a new game called Five Crowns. It was a wonderful night. The next morning, we went to church at the cathedral downtown, ate breakfast, and explored the stadium until game time. Our seats were awesome, the weather was awesome (the dome was open for the game), the friends were awesome. It was our first overnight trip without kids. If Aunt Jeanne and Grandma Carol offer to babysit again, these trips will surely happen more often!
