I used a recipe from Taste of Home for homemade applesauce. I really liked it. Clare wasn't a big fan. But she doesn't care for store applesauce either. However, she loves to eat apples. The recipe was simple. 4 c. apples; 1/4 c brown sugar; 1 t cinnamon; 1 t vanilla. Cook the apples in a dutch oven for 20-30 min. Mash. Mix with sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.
