Indiana Bound

UPDATE: We have made all the phone calls to our family and friends to share the news about our move to Indiana. We don't have all the details yet, but as they progress, we will keep you updated via this blog. As of now, we are leaving Eugene the weekend before Christmas. Clare & I are flying into Chicago and spending a few days with my cousin, her hubby, and their sweet baby girl, Mia. I'm excited to meet Mia (her 1st bday was in Sept). While we are stuffing our faces in Chicago with deep dish pizza from Giordano's, cheeseburgers from Portillo's, and giant meatballs from Leona's, Steve and his friend Chad are driving a Penske truck across country. I believe they are planning to take the southern route, which will add about 12 hrs to their road trip but it will bypass the mountains and potential snow storms of Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado. We plan to be at the lake house by Christmas Eve. I hope Santa will be able to find Clare's stocking.

We have been blessed with renters for both our homes in Eugene. It's a huge relief to have that part of the puzzle done. Both parties have expressed interest in purchasing the houses in 2-3 yrs. We received another blessing from Steve's parents - they offered their lake house to us until we find a place to call home. We'll be living in NE Indiana between South Bend and Fort Wayne. I hope it snows enough this year for the lake to freeze so we can go ice skating (or attempt to skate)!

We have sold some of our furniture to friends in Eugene. We still have a computer desk with hutch and matching bookcase if anyone is in the market. We have a garage full of boxes and three weeks to pack up our goodies that we've accumulated over 7 years!
